About Amber

Amber is passionate about supporting adults to navigate the challenges, experiences and obstacles that life can bring. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective therapy and aims to create a space that feels warm, compassionate and safe, where clients can feel understood, supported and empowered to make meaningful change.

Amber takes a holistic and individualised approach to therapy, drawing on evidence-based psychological approaches and tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs, experiences and goals.

With considerable experience working with first responders, Amber has developed a particular interest in complex trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy widely recognised for the treatment of PTSD and other trauma-related difficulties. Amber also incorporates Ego State Therapy, Structural Dissociation and parts work into her practice where appropriate, supporting clients to develop greater understanding, connection and integration of their experiences.

Amber works with a range of concerns, including complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety and panic, depression, addictions, anger, interpersonal difficulties, and grief and loss.

Ongoing Professional Development

Amber believes each of us is on a continuous journey of learning and, as such, actively seeks out professional development opportunities and supervision to enhance her skills in the field of EMDR Therapy, Structural Dissociation and Trauma.

She practices with integrity and ethics and if something is beyond her scope, she may refer you where appropriate to outside resources and referrals.
